Lying peacefully in her resting place sits the enigmatic flagship of the Greenpeace movement, the 'Rainbow Worrior'. Famously sunk by Frogmen in 1985 she has now found her final home in the white sands of the Cavalli Island Group.
Standing in less than 30 meters with her hull upright and intact, she is alive with growth and color. Small enough to be circumnavigated in a single dive, this is always a satisfying trip and is normally in conjunction with a dive on the Cavalli Islands nearby.
Departing from Whangaroa Harbor, this is an exposed ride through the open seas to the Cavalli's.
"When the earth is ravaged and the animals are dying, a new tribe of people shall come unto the earth from many colors, classes, creeds, and who by their actions and deeds shall make the earth green again.
They will be known as the warriors of the Rainbow"
